The Northville Art House will shine a spotlight on the imagination, art, talent and cultural diversity of artists throughout the region as the annual Arts and Acts Festival returns for the fourth consecutive season. The three-day celebration of the arts takes place in downtown Northville June 28-30.
The featured events happening during the Arts & Acts Festival include:
Art in the Sun: the 25th annual Juried Fine Arts Fair featuring 70 talented artists from across the Midwest.
The Reel Michigan Film Festival: showcasing Michigan-made or Michigan-themed juried short films on the big screen in the historic Marquis Theatre in downtown Northville.
The Sandbox Play Festival: Tipping Point Theatre's annual event premiering the winners of this "10 minute play" writing competition onstage at Genittis Hole-in-the-Wall, giving name recognition and exposure to Michigan theatre artists.
Short on Words: a "Short Story and Poetry Event" featuring literary work in response to photographs by Northville dentist, Dr. William Demray.
Musical Entertainment: Outstanding music throughout the three days highlighting some of metro Detroit's top musicians, including The Juliets, The Flutter and Wow, Steve Taylor and Renee Paquette, Saint Cecilia and Vincent York's Jazzistry.
Along with the spotlight events, the 4th Annual Arts & Acts Festival features festival food and drink vendors and Children’s activities, including a Fairy Door Scavenger Hunt and Mural Painting. The hours for the Annual Arts & Acts Festival are:
Friday, June 28 ~ 3-9 p.m.
Saturday, June 29 ~ 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday, June 30 ~ 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
