Meeting of the DDA Board of Directors

January 19, 2021 - 8:00 a.m.

 The meeting will be held via video conference in compliance with the Open Meetings Act. Members of the public body and members of the public participating electronically will be considered present at the meeting and may participate as if physically present at the meeting. A personal zoom invitation will be sent to each DDA Board member in advance of the DDA Board meeting and again the morning of the meeting. The Northville DDA is excited to announce the construction of 2 types of modular structures in the downtown Social  District beginning the first week of December. The Pods will provide covered spaces for consuming food and beverages at a bar-height table. The Stands will be available for local restaurants to prepare and/or serve food. Both Pods and Stands are equipped with electric overhead heaters and lighting.

The DDA has experienced great success with the Social District this summer and fall. It has drawn people into downtown and helped the downtown businesses to better deal with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the colder months are approaching, we want to sustain the draw to our community while continuing to support our local businesses.

Immediate Employment Opportunity


Seasonal Groundskeeper Positions:

The DDA is accepting applications for seasonal maintenance employees. Position runs through mid-March.

Compensation: Seasonal Employees $14.00 per hour.  There are no fringe benefits with this position.

Job Description:  General grounds keeping to include Town Square and all areas within the DDA boundaries.  Specifically, the job entails:

§  Arrange all tables/chairs in Town Square and Old Church Square

§  Snow removal 

§  Maintain Pods and Stands in Town Square and Old Church Square

§  Daily sweeping debris from Town Square.

§  Minor maintenance and repair work

§  Trash removal

§  Maintenance of Comerica Community Connection

The position is up to 40 hours per week (will consider full or part time candidates). May include some evenings and weekends.  Applicants must be able to work independently. A physical is required for the position and will be paid for by the DDA.
