The DDA is accepting
applications for 2 seasonal maintenance employees for the Fall. Position runs
from mid August until mid November.
Compensation: Seasonal Employees $11.00 per hour. There are
no fringe benefits with this position.
Description: General grounds keeping to
include Town Square and all areas within the DDA boundaries. Specifically, the job entails:
up the market umbrellas in Town Square
check of the umbrellas to make sure they are in proper working condition
all tables/chairs in Town Square.
of the 80 flower barrels throughout the downtown
Town Square planters that are not on the sprinkler system
dead flowers and dead heading of flowers
pruning of dead plant material
cleaning of the Town Square Fountain
sweeping debris from Town Square.
in Town Square and other plant beds
sidewalks, Town Square, TS stairs and Drop-off area at Marquis
maintenance and repair work
with set up and tear down on Friday night concerts
removal after Friday night concerts

The position is part
time with flexible hours and may require an occasional evening. Successful
candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and
be able to perform basic maintenance duties. Applicants must be able to work independently. A physical
is required for the position and will be paid for by the DDA.
