Vine 2 Wine
(relocated to 446 S. Main, Northville)
248 - 465 - WINE

Tucked back in on Mary Alexander is Northville’s best kept secret. Three years ago Mark Zucker and his wife, Sherrie, were looking for something more fulfilling, a more creative way to make a living. They took their passion for wine and turned it into Northville’s own custom winery.

Looking for something new and fun to do? Stop in at Vine 2 Wine. On the spur of the moment you could be sipping wine and on your way to an afternoon of wine making. What a great way to top off lunch. After taste testing a selection of red and white award-winning wines, you select the type of wine you would like to make. Vine 2 Wine stocks 100% grape juices from countries all through Europe, South America, Australia, and of course, the United States.

Thinking about a fun filled evening? You can also book wine tasting and wine making parties at Vine 2 Wine. Hosting up to 20 friends, family members, or even an office party, Vine 2 Wine supplies the wine, you supply the food! Evening parties generally begin around 7:00 pm and sometimes last into the early hours of the morning. You will taste and choose the type of wine you want to make. Your wine will be made up that evening. Feel free to make it a simple wine and cheese party, have a potluck supper, or have an elaborately catered party. Bring in your favorite CDs or choose from Mark’s vast selection. Each party will make at least 5 batches of wine, each batch yielding 30 bottles of the finest wine you will ever make. In approximately 6-8 weeks your wine will be ready for drinking. An appointment is then made to sample your wine, bottle, cork, label, and dress it up like a store bought looking bottle.

Wine bottling is done using a vacuum pump bottling machine, the cork is easily secured, and in no time you are ready to select a label. Vine 2 Wine stocks dozens of pre-made labels, but why not create your own . . . the options are limitless. Sherrie has created many, many labels to commemorate special events in people’s lives. Special anniversaries, milestone birthdays, the birth of a child, and grand openings are all occasions to celebrate. A custom made bottle of wine with a one-of-a-kind label is a wonderful memento for those occasions. For the bride and groom a label designed from the wedding invitation creates a memorable favor for their guests. A photograph of mom and dad on their wedding day combined with a recent photo provide a very special remembrance of their 50th anniversary. Feel free to browse Mark and Sherrie’s portfolio for ideas. The final step is to add the shrink cap over the cork. Foil shrink caps are available in an array of colors to compliment your labels and are easily steam sealed giving your wine bottle a finished and professional look.

So what’s so special about this wine? Unlike commercial wineries only minute amounts of sulfites are used, which means your wine will be smoother to your palette and no headaches! The wine you make will be a very respectable every day wine and can be enjoyed for the next 3-4 years.

While browsing the downtown Northville shops, be sure to wander over to Vine 2 Wine. So whether it’s a small afternoon party or a fun filled evening party of up to 20, you are sure to enjoy the wine making experience; and remember - you don't need to book a party in advance to come and make wine!  It’s not too early to book your party for Christmas gift giving or New Year’s Eve toasting. For more information on wine making at Vine 2 Wine or to book a party, visit their website. Your wine is 100% guaranteed, as is the fun!
